PADDLE RACK INSTRUCTIONS

Here is what the sign currently says:

WELCOME TO THE HEARTLAND PARK PICKLEBALL COURTS!

Courts 1-3 are designated for Beginner to Intermediate Play (2.0 to 3.0) and Courts 4-6 for Intermediate to Advanced Play (3.0-5.0). You are welcome to pick where you want to play.

For Courts 4-6 use this paddle rack and place your paddle in the next open position from the left. The marker will show which foursome is next up. For Courts 1-3 use the paddle rack on the opposite side.

Some things to keep in mind:

· Even if a court is open and two players are waiting, place your paddles into the rack. When a court finishes, please rotate in the two waiting players.

· Advanced Players: Please encourage lower players to join you occasionally. We have all started out once and it’s a great way for them to learn. You never know who will be the next advanced player! Use that opportunity to teach, not to show off!

· Beginner and Intermediate Players: Don’t be afraid to play a game on the higher courts at times. It’s a great way to learn! Be teachable, ask questions. Most Advanced players love to share.

We encourage all PRPC Members to set good examples of welcoming new people and encouraging others to rotate players in with the paddle rack system.

Q&A

What are the white and red parts of the racks for?

At this point, the colors do not matter. Just put your paddle in the next open slot. If there are 4 extra players for one rack and you have all already played with each other you could put two each in the separate colors and mix in when two of the courts get done.

INJURY PREVENTION SPEAKER

July 10th Heartland Park - 7:00 pm

During our Appetizer potluck by the Courts we will have Physical Therapist Amy Forbes, DPT from St. Josephs Health CHI speak to our group about proper warm-up and injury prevention on the Courts.

Bring a lawn chair (and a simple snack to share if you wish) and join us to listen and learn. (You don't have to join the Round Robin before this to join us!)

NEXT DUPR Rating EVENTS

July 5th 5:00-7:00pm
